Iron Fireman is the leading Hartland provider of duct sealing and repair for businesses and homes. Leaking ducts cause high energy bills and poor air quality, both of which are inconvenient and expensive to remedy. We use a specialized duct sealing system by Aeroseal to fix these leaks within ductwork. It’s a highly effective procedure, especially in older buildings or buildings with poorly maintained ductwork. In fact, EnergyStar reports that 20%-30% of air in a typical home’s HVAC system is lost due to leaks, holes and installation failures, leading to high energy costs and overworked furnaces and central air systems.
We are proud of the results we deliver and track improvements in airflow with reports to each customer.
Aeroseal duct sealing involves the use of adhesive aerosol spray mixed with a special sealant. The spray is applied to the inside of air ducts, filling in gaps, leaks and sealing them off. It’s quick-drying and reaches hard-to-access spots. While the sealant isn’t a permanent solution and may need to be reapplied every 5-10 years, it’s far more cost effective than replacing the entire ducting system.
